Things I've Learnt About Love

It’s not really a climate crisis It’s so much wholer, bigger than that It incorporates everything Everything With global warming and nature’s collapse An unfortunate side effect side effect Like a fever when you’re ill A symptom of how we treat each other And how we treat the world I’ve learnt that history is part of the present Centuries of greed and cruelty Putting profit before goodness Using people, animals, trees, land and water Destruction, poison, injustice A history of injustices Of history continuing through now I’ve learnt it all comes back to one word To love Love is respect and care with love we are less separate we consider the other All the others Helping each other and the Earth breathe Ilya Fisher, 2023
